Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP Leader B S Yeddyurappa today applied for anticipatory bail before Karnataka High Court in three private complaints filed by two city-based advocates accusing him of corruption, nepotism and committing land scams.
The applications were filed before Justice H Billappa who asked the Lokayukta police to file its objections and adjourned further hearing in the case to November 3.
Mr Yeddyurappa was already in judicial custody since October 15 after he was denied bail by both the trial Special Lokayukta Court and the High Court with respect to two of the five private complaints filed by the advocates.
He is currently under judicial custody at Central jail in Parappana Agrahara.
