College textbooks are now converted into iPad application into iPad application Posted Date ::02-09-2010 23::09::53 Tags : iPAD, Semester, diagrams, software, environmentally friendly, school paper It's back to class in universities across the country and this semester instead of carrying stacks of textbooks, some students’ just one device. iPAD. "One of my classes, I have not even bought a laptop.
I use my notes iPAD. It was nice to simply scroll through the pages I hear what happens in the classroom," said Chloe Sparr, Seton Hill students. First year with Stanford students just give iPAD, as they say is more versatile than laptops. "You can write on it, so it is an obvious advantage, because you go through conferences and courses in anatomy, you draw diagrams and make connections you would not be able to do so on a laptop," says Malcolm DeBaun, Stanford students.
Some students use the application called IPAD idea of converting text books software. "We're really trying to re-structure of the book to build something that is more interactive and interesting, something completely different than if just copy the text book on the computer screen," says Matt McInnis, a hint of founder and CEO.
Using iPads could save students a lot of money than most spend thousands of dollars printed textbooks. Some of the textbooks IPAD cost about half as much as the paper versions.
Intuition says that most publishers of textbooks have adopted new technologies and so far, as well as students and teachers will assign a high score for IPAD. "And this is only the most visual and audio connectivity, I think you're really going to remember more. Time will tell but I think they are," says Catherine Giunta, Seton Hill Professor. The second lesson is environmentally friendly, using iPads or any other tablets can significantly reduce the use of the school paper.
