Pakistani Players (Salman Butt, Amir, Akmal) involved in Match fixing - 4th Test vs England at Lords

According to a report in The News of the World, Mazher Majeed accepted £150,000 to arrange a fix involving Pakistan's new-ball bowlers, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, whom he allegedly asked to bowl no-balls at specific moments of the match.

The ghosts of match-fixing returned to haunt the Pakistan cricket as the Scotland Yard arrested an alleged fixer after sordid details about corruption in the Pakistan cricket team currently facing defeat in the Lord's Test emerged in a British tabloid.

The alleged fixer, 35-year-old Mazhar Majeed, was arrested last night on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers. He is in police custody.

The third day of England's Test match against Pakistan went ahead even though players were interviewed by police throughout the night
