A violent clash, which raged between security forces and the Naxals for about 14 hours in Poona-Dih village in Lakhisarai district of Bihar has finally ended. The search operations are still on. According to reports, jawans, 11 were injured and 11 others are missing. The injured were rushed to the Sadar hospital in Lakhisarai. The meeting began Sunday evening when Naxals attacked a search party of police. The research group including staff from the Bihar Military Police, State of auxiliary police (SAP) and CRPF.

The area is cordoned off for two and the confrontation is still ongoing. Not yet reported any casualties. Several jawans still said to be trapped, but police would not confirm. They say, however, that confirmation has been sent to the region.
